Tsunamis arise after a shift of a big layer of water caused by

n underwater earthquake or a big landslide.

This process can be modeled on a long spring ,located horizontally.

The energy of a wind-induced wave is defined by the wave sizes (length and height) as in tsunamis as well, only that the length of a wind-induced wave is meters while in tsunamis it’s – kilometers.

To fight against a normal wave it is enough to establish a breakwater near the coast at an angle of 60 degrees. The wave, after reaching it and rising up, will collapse and will lose it’s energy. With tsunamis such a trick will not pass because of its length.

It will creep through the breakwater as a snake, without losing its energy.

For tsunami taming, it is necessary to dig a trench of a certain profile, at the same time to use sand dredges at a sandy bottom, and at the stony bottom use – more powerful dredges.
